On Sunday, February 2, under the joint aegis of Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital and Geetanjali Cancer Center Udaipur, the "Cancer Awareness Program and Survivor Meet 2020" was organized in the Geethanjali Medical College to create a "Cancer Mukt Samaj" with the objective of 1) Our dream is cancer-free society, 2) To spread cancer awareness among the general public, 3)Right check at the right time, early prevention& 4) Mission to Reach as many people as possible through social organizations and corporates.

The event was an event for cancer-fighting and curing patients, in which cancer-free patients could return to a healthy life through this program. The chief guest of the event was, Prateem Tamboli, CEO of Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital.

The program was inaugurated with the lamp lighting by CEO Prateem Tamboli and all the doctors of the oncology department.

The program started with an awareness dialogue on cancer through Radiology Oncologist Dr. Ramesh Purohit. He said that patients who have cancer could be saved if they get treatment at the right time as soon as symptoms are known, for this it is necessary to have cancer awareness which is the campaign of our cancer mukt samaj.

15-year-old Prem Kumar Meena, who had blood cancer due to pain in his legs and family, did not get any rest even after getting treatment from Ahmedabad, and a family brought him to Geetanjali Hospital. Through a poem titled " ye mat Kaho Khuda ki mushkilen badee hai'' ", he recited the poem in a wheelchair, which was mesmerized, everyone at the time of 2019 survivor meet but this time he performed dance and shocked everyone, the audience applause to cheer the child. Now this child is healthy and living like normal children.

40-year-old Lokesh Paliwal, who has recovered from cancer, said that he became very frustrated when he came to know that he had confirmed a lump in his throat and thyroid cancer during the test. Later he came to Geetanjali Cancer Center for treatment and today is healthy. He greeted all the doctors and said that do not be afraid of cancer, get it treated.

Hemant Sharma, who was cured of cancer of the fourth stage of the mouth, played the music of the song "Ik pyar ka nagma hai" playing the harmonium, while the same CEO Tamboli came forward to give lyrics to his music.

The group dance "Bum Bum Bole Masti Mein Dole" was also performed by the youngest Cancer Survivors, people could not stop themselves seeing this emotion; the entire auditorium filled with applause.

15-year-old Mahzabi Khan was shown in several hospitals because her throat and mouth were swollen and had a lot of weakness. After coming to Geetanjali, the investigation revealed that she had a small lump near her heart, after which the patient was treated. Today, the child is healthy and is busy with her studies, and her family is thrilled to find her healthy again.

GMCH CEO Prateem Tamboli said that the patient is being treated here with the latest technologies at a nominal rate. He said that the objective of this program is to increase the morale of cancer patients and motivate them and call for a cancer-mukt samaj by the people so that the awareness of cancer is communicated to the people.

The highlight of the program was the panel discussion of the doctors of the oncology department, the names of the doctors involved are as follows: HOD of the oncology department, Dr. A. R. Gupta, Dr. Ankit Agarwal from Medical Oncology, Oncology Surgeons Dr. Ashish Jakhetiya and Dr. Arun Pandey, Dr. Ramesh Purohit, Dr. Kiran Chigurupalli and Dr. Menal Bhandari from Oncology Radiation, Dr. Anil Bhimal from Oncology Palliative Care. During the panel discussion, all the doctors discussed issues such as the prevention of symptoms of cancer, and people were made aware of the formation of the tumor, in which it was told that the cancer is determined by the team of medical, radiation and surgeons..

During the program, the Rotary Club of Panna released a hair donation poster for cancer patients with the help of Geetanjali Hospital.

Rotary Club Vasundhara, Rotary Club Meera, Rotary Club Panna, All India Marwari Yuva Manch, Shri Govardhan Medical Health Care, Rajasthan Pensioner Samaj, Senior Citizen Care Charitable Trust, Insaniyat Healthcare Society, Mewar Innovation Services, Matrimanthan, Suryanshan Sansthan, Paramarth Memorial Trust and K.K. G. Gattani Foundation Muskan Club, Mushin Udaipur were awarded the Facilitation Awards for their commendable efforts in the society and their involvement in the cancer-free campaign.

In the same ceremony corporates like Railway Hospital, ISIC, Hindustan Zinc Limited, RSMM, FCI, ECHS, Muslim Life Care, Bhartiya Jain Sangathan Good Doc Enterprises Pvt Ltd and BSNL were also felicitated After this all the servivors present were also honored for their indomitable courage and passion.

At the end of the program, oncology surgeon Dr. Ashish Zakhetiya explained the importance of menstrual hygiene and thanked all the guests, listeners, for joining the cancer-free campaign.
